Birthdays!!

It’s my birthday today! And it’s the best one yet. I’ll admit: I made it all of 12 days in a row with painting something for my ambitious 30 day challenge- either florals or cats. But I have a good excuse - I just had my first baby on October 13th and a challenging last trimester, and so begins my Parenting Adventure! Join me for the ride, I hope it informs my art and that you feel the love and inspiration I do too.

You may recall, I had committed to consistently painting florals in Autumn colours for 30 days straight in September but then quickly got waylaid by Rescue Cats as I stumbled upon SafeTeam’s initiative to feature adoptable cats.

The photos they take are beautiful, readily found on Instagram and I couldn’t help but paint one which turned to two, three and more Adoptables which were well received by SafeTeam and the cat rescue community here in Edmonton. I even managed to get one piece up, “Goldie,” at the Cat Cafe on Whyte Ave. Check it out - SafeTeam and the Cat Cafe do fantastic work (https://www.safeteam.ca ). A Collaboration Win!
