Greeting from my studio!!

I’m excited to announce two new workshop dates one each in Nov and Dec: Floral Collage and Fearless Faces (mixed media portraits)! Classes are at the Paint Spot and you can register here for the floral collage class and here for the fearless faces class.

I was so gratified by the Fearless Florals workshop held on Oct 16th. It was a wonderful group and the atmosphere was indeed fearless as we explored the beauty of a floral. What impressed me most was the enthusiasm for learning something new, and for trusting me to teach them what I knew - what a privilege! I greatly look forward to offering it again and hope that you will join me - it is an inspiring and uplifting way to spend a day!

Finally, below is a quick post-workshop piece I did using artificial flowers as a muse, I was so inspired by the group energy, I used it to kind of cool down from the painting workshop “workout” and just played around. My best work always happens when I’m by myself in a quiet space with no planned outcome and no pressure. (although this time I was listening to an audiobook which lets my unconscious mind take over my hands). Music or a podcast is good too. I think it works!
